Last Spring, some folks at the Nick and Friends Sarcoma Foundation entered a contest through NASCAR. They designed a car, submitted it to the contest, and then we voted and voted and voted for this car. The winning design was actually turned into a real race car and then drove the opening lap at a Sprint Race. (I don't watch NASCAR, so I'll be honest - I have no idea what I'm talking about when to car racing)
The Nick and Friends design, covered in yellow ribbons bearing the names of those who have battled the cancer that took my husband, didn't win.
But...they did the contest again. And the N&F car was entered again. And this time - we're in the top 10. So this is where I need your help! You can vote for the car every day for the next 10 days from every computer you can get your hands on.
Why, you might ask, is this car so special?
Because of that ribbon:
Because that ribbon has angel wings and it is surrounded by ribbons without wings...and maybe with a little more awareness and a little more funding and a little more research, those other ribbons won't ever need wings.
